Scam Alert

SCDPPPS would never call family members of incarcerated individuals to request money for early inmate release. If you receive a scam call, contact local law enforcement and report it to the FTC.

The DVD must not exceed five minutes.  In the event of a case which includes multiple victims, the total amount of time of testimony cannot exceed ten minutes.  The DVD must contain a visual or oral statement of the name of the inmate, the inmate’s SCDC number, and the date of the scheduled parole hearing.  You must identify yourself and state your relationship to the victim.  Also, please state the date of the DVD recording.

The DVD MUST BE RECEIVED by the Office of Victim Services NO LATER THAN TEN (10) DAYS PRIOR TO THE PAROLE HEARING DATE.  Send your DVD to:

      SCDPPPS
      Office of Victim Services
      Post Office Box 207
      Columbia, SC 29202

If you submit (along with your DVD) a self-addressed, pre-paid mailer with adequate postage, the DVD will be returned to you.
Otherwise, the DVD will be destroyed following the parole hearing.
